Hello Quint!

This is the design of a birth announcement card I did recently. The little boys' name is Quint and he was born on january 23th, 2013. The card is offset printed after my handmade papercut design on 10 x 15 cm. off-white sturdy paper.

This is a papercut stop motion animation I have made for Floriade 2012 (World Horticultural Expo, Venlo - The Netherlands) It is the main reason it's been so quiet here lately, because I have been working on it for 7 full weeks. It will be shown at Floriade until october 7th this year. La Valse Botanique ('The Botanic Waltz') is a short silhouette animation of how plants and flowers try to impress a bumblebee and its passenger. All characters and flowers are papercut and animated in stop motion. Story & design: Graça Brohm. Music written by: Gerard Brohm. This one is named 'What they thought no one would hear' it is a fine art Giclee print on heavyweight paper, made after the original papercut below. It can be purchased with mahogany frame (picture above), oakwood frame or without a frame. This is what I have been working on (amongst other things) and exhibited during the last show at our studio place. It took me some time to get the photo's right because of the shades and small details. I hope you like them. Will post some close ups later.

And the 'accessories' section in the shop doesn't work. 'Prints' section does though! I am trying my best to fix these problems. Hopefully it will be running smoothly again soon!

my first

This is a tattoo design I did, my first ever! It took me a while to finish it. It was a commision for Gijs Coolen, a musician. He plays the guitar in the bands: Woost and Moana. The design was inspired on a fairytale by Godfried Bomans.

I am so curious how it will look on him, maybe I can show you a picture when it's done!

These are Giclee prints on heavyweight museum quality paper, presented in thin oak frames. Edition of 100 except for the Charleston girl, she is printed in a limited edition of 50. Here they are! My miniature paintings. (6x3,5 cm. or 2.36x1.37 inch)
I have been making these as an order for a gallery/store in Amsterdam. Two girls sharing an interest in art and design objects started their own shop. Michele -Little Gallery- has been collecting a lot of fine art (Giclee) prints and Natalie -Mini shopping center of cool- has gathered various art objects and jewelry (including my miniature paintings : )

A big thanks to Eva Wolfs conservator/restorator working in the same studio building as I do. Who helped me varnish these pieces perfectly using her conservation skills and airbrush materials.
